August 2008 Booster Minutes

Ed Hockenbury, Betsy Weischedel, Betsy Hoehl attended on 8/4/08.

We went over the fall concession schedule and made needed changes.

We discussed Boys Soccer request for 22 sets of new white uniforms for a total of $1230.  Ed can give $500.

We discussed Girls Soccer request for 25 sets of new uniforms for a total of $1125.  Ed can give $500.

Ed asked us to consider items for future.

• Strength and Conditioning position at $2500. Leo thinks the position will take less time this year and therefore the decrease in cost.
• Captain's Class at $4500.  Ed thinks this is very important for the athletic program.
• Student Athletes Leadership Conference in spring @$800.
• We may want to contact Dave Simendinger about renovations to our concession stand. Dave has expressed interest in helping if we need it.  We may want to look into this for the future, especially when Gary decides to retire.

Betsy Weischedel will attend coaches meeting and athletic meeting on Thursday to speak for Boosters.  She will mention our good works, i.e. Captain's class, strength and conditioning position, new uniforms and equipment, how each team needs a team parent, how the new consolidated request system(one night for each season for requests with exceptions for unexpected items) , and most importantly how much the concession and clothing sales make for our athletes with the parent volunteer help.
