Ed shared his list:
- Boys and girls basketball have requested money for new uniforms. Boys cost is $1,871, girls is $1,820. They are both asking for half of the cost.
- Betsy W. gave Ed checks for the boys($500) and girls($625) soccer uniforms that were approved in August.
- Ed is asking for $2,500 for the strength and conditioning coaches. Last year we gave $5,000. It was more due to new weight room set-up.
- Ed requested $4,500 for captains leadership training. $1,500 per season. Last year we paid $1,400 per season. He puts it in the budget every year, but it has been pulled every time.
- Leo purchased the hydroculator that we approved funds for in May. Ed submitted the bill to Betsy W. for $1,076.18 which is less than the $1,200 we approved.
Other items:
- Booster merchandise sale this Friday at all lunches and during open house on 9/24.
- Homecoming is 10/4. Ed has not met with the student government regarding homecoming yet. Possibly no spirit rally on Friday afternoon. Can we find someone who wants to hand out alumni buttons at the football game?
- Need people for 50/50 at the football games. Gary cannot spare any concession workers for this.
- Need twelve coolers for cross country Essex Invitational at Catamount on 9/13. Sandy will send out e-mail. This event will be smaller this year. No junior high races. All costs are up. Expecting 700-800 racers as opposed to 1200 last year.
VOTES:
- Approved $500 each for boys and girls basketball uniforms and will require each team to work a 4 hour shift at the wrestling classic in January.
- Approved $4,500 for captains leadership training after discussion. We would like to see the benefits of this training filtered down to the younger teams during the season.
- Tabled the request for $2,500 for strength and conditioning funds.
